eta Iota - kansas university chapter history

The Eta Iota Chapter at Kansas University in Lawrence, KS,  was charted on October 9, 1976, by eleven young women.

Those eleven included:

• Michelle Frasure (Omega Rho)
• Carlotta Gilliespie (Omega Rho)
• Tamara Holmes (Omega Rho)
• Treveda McFall 
  
• JoAnn Johnson
• Deborah Lockett

The Eta Iota chapter was reactivated in March 2023 under the leadership of Area Coordinator Soror Andrea Crawford. Five Enchanting Women reactivated the chapter:

• Taylor Boaz
• Janaye’ Ebo
  
• Camylle Guice
  
• Chrishayla Adams
  
• Viviana Turner

The chapter works within Kansas University to enhance sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Members of the chapter and the Eta Iota Chapter have won a number of awards for their chapter. Eta Iota is part of the KU National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC-KC) and participates in various forms of community service.
